Research tells us that building relationships with our students is important and that strong student-teacher relationships positively affect school engagement and achievement. This relationship building is especially important in an online environment and during these emotionally taxing times. In this session we will explore formal and informal means for engaging with students as well as families in the virtual classroom. We will focus on best practices for developing strong student-teacher relationships and a community of learners who will support one another.
