Student Voice and Choice - empowering students to choose how they learn and how they demonstrate their learning.
In this session we will explore how to give students a choice in how they learn as well as options for demonstrating what they have learned. Tips, lesson ideas, apps and more will be discussed. These techniques can be used in class or in remote learning.

Make Teaching and Learning Easier with Kami
Kami enables teachers to take material in almost any format and assign it digitally for students to annotate.  You can also combine materials from multiple sources to create one cohesive document, split a larger one, or create a new one.  Both basic fundamentals and advanced tools will be covered.  Participating teachers will receive a free 4-month Teacher License for Kami.

Redesign your lesson to help with hybrid, remote, and in-person instruction.
This presentation will integrate the research-based 5E Instructional Model into your already developed lesson; so, that it can be taught virtually or in person. Due to the uncertainty in the state of education during COVID-19, ideas and strategies will be shown to help support the continuation of education for our students.

 Learn ways to support students with IEPs and all learners in a virtual setting. We will discuss virtual behavior supports, as well as virtual tools to support students with reading and math. Share your ideas and practice using new tools!
  • Educators will walk away with just in time learning strategies and new instructional approaches to meet the learning demands of today's diverse students.
  • Educators will now be more prepared to take ownership in a self-care action plan for themselves and model with their students.
  • Educators will now have a collection of digital media tools and resources to differentiated and engage students focused on student-centered learning activities to build learning confidence.

This is a workshop on assessing and addressing students' social and emotional barriers to learning. This time is hosted by PASS, which is an assessment that uncovers things like lack of confidence, bullying, poor student/teacher relationships, etc. During this time, you will receive concrete strategies that you can implement with your students and staff. We know that, due to COVID, this school year has been particularly challenging. We hope to provide you with some supports to help during this difficult time.
